MOBILE BORDER UNIT enacts a fully-functioning border control in unusual places. Asking questions about the arbitrariness of national and international borders, about the line between ‘here’ and ‘there’, it seeks to frame the border as a place where things happen, where two things meet, as something productive rather than reductive. The international border is reimagined as a place where something warm, or weird, or unexpected might happen.
